Brian "TOO LOUD" MaCleod 15 Years Ago A Fallen Star Of Ours

Brian Too Loud Maclead Past away 15 years ago today!

Brian 'Too Loud' MacLeod
guitars/drums - Pepper Tree, Edward Bear, Chilliwack, Headpins
Juno Award-winning producer
born June 25, 1952 - April 25, 1992
succumbed to cancer.
(Holly Woods - Toronto): I remember working with Barney on ASSAULT & FLATTERY. We were having a spaghetti supper on his boat talking about my career as a solo artist. We'd just finished writing one of the tracks. He co-wrote, produced, played guitar - did practically everything on alot of that record. He sat in the control room while Darby and I sang "Cats & Dogs" and we just laughed the whole time. He was definitely one of a kind.

It was one of the worst days of my life, like the day the music died. I went to Brians funeral on Thursday April the 30th of 1992, at the Redeemer Lutheran Church. It was a hot afternoon and Bill Henderson played "Four Men" on his guitar and sang on the stage beside Brians coufin and beside that was a large photo of Brian Too Loud Maclead.

There were a lot of people there that day and as the bag pipes played following Brian to the Hertz that awaited outside, people followed.
The Interment was conducted at the Ocean View Burial Park, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. He was placed beside a beautiful tree.

I periodically would visit Brian and as I sat there in the peace of god I could hear the children play at a close nearby school. Every time I would visit Brian I would notice that his flower pot was empty and no flowers had been placed, so I would place some and think about the fun days when Brian was here with all of us, sharing his talent to bring us all closer together. I miss that the most.

There is a lesson here somewhere I am sure.

I see kids delaying their responsibillities and hiding from their chores, I see a lot of people delaying their dreams because they have to stay on the roller coaster ride that only allows them so much time to do the things they really love.

Brian went for what he wanted and the only thing that stopped him was Cancer, actually it was pneumonia that got him in the end, but nevertheless he was a fighter and we went for it all the way. Never put off today what you could have done yesterday and you will find yourself further then every before.

With enormous amounts of love and respect to all who knew Brian, BARNEY, Too Loud, Macleod, his family, friends & fans.
You will never be forgotten Brian, we love you and miss you, the world is truely at a loss without your touch of magic.
